Privacy Policy
Below we would like to inform you about the data processing on our website (https://muli-cycles.de). Here you will find information about the collection and use of personal data when using our website. We comply with the data protection laws applicable in Germany. You can access this declaration at any time on our website.
We explicitly point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g., when communicating by email) can have security vulnerabilities and cannot be completely protected against access by third parties.
Personal Data
Personal data means information that can be used to identify a person, i.e., information that can be traced back to a person. This typically includes name, email address, or phone number. However, purely technical data that can be associated with a person are also considered personal data.
To the extent that personal data (such as name, address, or email address) are collected on our pages, this is done on a voluntary basis wherever possible. If a contractual relationship between you and us is established, structured, or changed, or if you send us an inquiry, we collect and use personal data from you to the extent necessary for these purposes (master data). We collect, process, and use personal data as far as necessary to enable you to use the web offer (usage data).
All personal data will only be stored as long as necessary for the stated purpose (processing your inquiry or fulfilling a contract). Tax and commercial retention periods will be observed. By order of the competent authorities, we may disclose this data (master data) on a case-by-case basis if required for criminal prosecution, risk prevention, fulfilling statutory duties of the intelligence agencies or military counterintelligence service, or enforcing intellectual property rights.

The entity responsible for processing your personal data within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR is:
muli-cycles GmbH

Your Rights
You have the right to obtain free information upon request about the personal data stored about you. Additionally, you have the right to correct inaccurate data, the right to request restriction of processing for data processed excessively, and the right to delete unlawfully processed or overly retained personal data (provided no statutory retention obligation or other reasons according to Art. 17 para. 3 GDPR oppose this). Furthermore, you have the right to data portability, i.e., to receive all data you have provided to us in a common file format, if you provided the data based on consent or contract fulfillment.
If we process your personal data based on our legitimate interest, you have the right at any time to object to the processing for reasons arising from your particular situation (right to object, Art. 21 GDPR). In this case, the data will no longer be processed unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

To exercise your rights, an email to info@muli-cycles.de is sufficient.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. A list of German and European data protection officers and their contact details can be found at:
https://www.bfdi.bund.de/EN/DataProtection/DataProtection_node.html
Voluntariness of Data Submission
Providing your personal data on this website is generally neither legally nor contractually required. You are not obliged to provide personal data on this website. Nevertheless, the provision of some functions of this website requires the processing of your personal data.
Existence of Automated Decision-Making
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, according to Art. 22 GDPR.
Recipients of Data
We generally do not pass on personal data unless explicitly stated in this privacy policy. However, the website is hosted by our service provider Brinkel, Sachsenröder, Wartenberg GbR, Studio Bosco, Härtelstraße 4, 04107 Leipzig. Brinkel, Sachsenröder, Wartenberg GbR, Studio Bosco will automatically process the above-mentioned personal data on our behalf, exclusively according to our instructions and under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
The transfer of personal data to the above service provider is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. This legal basis permits processing based on our "legitimate interest" unless your fundamental rights, freedoms, or interests outweigh it. Our legitimate interest lies in using specialized providers who can offer hosting more efficiently than we could ourselves. You can object to this data processing at any time if there are reasons in your particular situation that oppose the transfer of personal data to a server provider. An email to info@muli-cycles.de is sufficient.
Notes on Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device by the browser when you visit our website. Some website functions can “recognize” you and remember settings you have made. This serves user-friendliness (e.g., saving login data). Cookies are typically used to collect statistical data about website use for analysis and advertising purposes. We use cookies in various ways, which are explained in detail below.
Some cookies are automatically deleted from your device when you leave the website (session cookies). Other cookies are stored for a defined period, which does not exceed two years (persistent cookies). We also use so-called third-party cookies managed by third parties to provide certain services.
You can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers allow you to restrict or completely prevent cookies. However, please note that this may restrict usage and comfort on the website.
For details about the cookies we use, click on the “Manage Cookie Settings” button below this privacy policy.

4. Newsletter subscription
5. Third-party tools
a. Facebook Social Plugin
b. Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel)
c. Google Analytics

e. Matomo
6. Data processing at trade fairs
Details of the processing:
1. Registration/User Account
Data you provide during the ordering process (e.g., name, address, email) is used to fulfill contracts or conduct pre-contractual measures. We process your data for the following purposes:
· Order processing or sending offers
· Verifying whether you are a commercial customer or other entrepreneur
· Shipping and invoicing
· Payment processing
· Customer service
· Possibly enforcing or defending claims arising from the supply relationship
· Possibly sending email or postal advertising
Legal basis:
Data collected for contract processing is processed based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. This permits processing to fulfill a contract.
Storage duration:
We store data collected for contract processing for the duration of the contract and until the expiration of statutory or contractual warranty and guarantee rights.
If we are required to retain certain data, we may store it up to the retention periods specified in §§ 257 of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and 147 of the German Fiscal Code (AO). These periods can be up to 10 years. They begin at the end of the calendar year and may be extended by up to 4 years in exceptional cases due to legal provisions.
2. Server Log Files
We automatically collect technical data each time the website is accessed, which are personal data. These include:
· User’s IP address
· Name of the accessed webpage or file
· Date and time of access
· Data volume transferred
· Status of successful retrieval
· Browser type and version
· User’s operating system
· User’s device, including MAC address
· Referrer URL (previous page visited)
These data are not merged with other personal data you actively provide. We collect server log files to administer the website and detect and prevent unauthorized access.
Legal basis:
Personal data in log files is processed based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. This allows processing within the controller’s legitimate interest, unless overridden by your rights or interests. Our legitimate interest is easier administration and the ability to detect and trace hacking attempts. You may object to this processing for reasons specific to your situation by emailing info@muli-cycles.de.
What are IP addresses?
IP addresses are assigned to every device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, PC) connected to the Internet. The IP address depends on your current Internet connection provider. It could be the IP your Internet provider assigned to you (e.g., your home Wi-Fi) or one assigned by your mobile provider or a public/private Wi-Fi provider. The most common form (IPv4) consists of four number blocks. Usually, private users have dynamic IP addresses assigned temporarily by the provider. Static IP addresses enable easier user identification. Except for tracing unauthorized access, we analyze these data only anonymously to see which webpages are favored and daily traffic.
Storage duration:
Server log files are automatically deleted after 120 days. We reserve the right to store them longer if there is evidence of unauthorized access attempts (e.g., hacking or DDoS attacks).
3. Contact
When contacting us (e.g., via email or contact form), the information you provide will be stored to process your request and in case of follow-up questions.
Legal basis:
Data during contact is processed under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, based on the controller’s legitimate interest unless overridden by your rights or interests. Our legitimate interest is to process contact requests. You can object by emailing info@muli-cycles.de.
Storage duration:
Data collected during contact will be deleted once the matter is fully resolved and no longer expected to be relevant in the future.
4. Newsletter Subscription
On our website, you have the option to subscribe to our company’s newsletter. For this purpose, we use Mailchimp from The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA (“Mailchimp”). The newsletter informs users about new offers from our company. The following personal data must be entered in the input form to order the newsletter: name, email address.
When registering for the newsletter, we also store the IP address assigned by the Internet Service Provider to the computer system used by the data subject at the time of registration, as well as the date and time of registration. The collection of this data is necessary to be able to trace (potential) misuse of a data subject’s email address at a later time and therefore serves to legally protect the party responsible for processing.
The newsletter of our company can basically only be received by the data subject if (1) the data subject has a valid email address and (2) the data subject registers for the newsletter dispatch. For legal reasons, a confirmation email is sent via a double opt-in procedure to the email address entered by a data subject for the first time for the newsletter dispatch. This confirmation email serves to verify whether the owner of the email address has authorized the receipt of the newsletter as the data subject.
Mailchimp is based in the USA, so your data may also be transferred to the USA. Mailchimp (or Intuit) is an active participant in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which regulates the correct and secure data transfer of personal data of EU citizens to the USA. More information can be found at https://commission.europa.eu/document/fa09cbad-dd7d-4684-ae60-be03fcb0fddf_en.
Legal basis
This data processing is based on the consent described above, which you gave by subscribing to the newsletter. According to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, data processing is permitted if you have given consent for data processing for one or more specific purposes. When ordering the newsletter, you provided a declaration of consent confirming that you wish to receive the selected newsletter. Unsubscribing is possible at any time free of charge. Simply use the unsubscribe link in the respective newsletter or send us an email at info@muli-cycles.de.
Duration of data storage
The personal data stored during newsletter registration will be deleted after you have successfully unsubscribed from the newsletter.
5. Third-Party Tools
a. Facebook Social Plugins
On our website, we use so-called Social Plugins (“Plugins”) from the social network Facebook, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook” or “Meta”).
“Social Plugins” are code blocks that social media operators provide to other companies to insert into their websites (e.g., the “Like” button from Facebook). Through these plugins, the viewer can communicate directly with the social media service provider via the respective website, such as liking posts or sharing and commenting. The plugins are marked with a Facebook logo or the addition “Social Plugin from Facebook” or “Facebook Social Plugin.” An overview of Facebook plugins and their appearance can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins.
When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook’s servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Facebook receives information that your browser accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not currently logged into Facebook.
This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.
If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can directly assign the visit to our website to your Facebook profile. If you interact with the plugins, e.g., by clicking the “Like” button or leaving a comment, this information is also sent directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on your Facebook profile and shown to your Facebook friends.
The purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your related rights and privacy settings, can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
If you do not want Facebook to associate the data collected through our website directly with your Facebook profile, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the loading of Facebook plugins using browser add-ons, e.g., the “Facebook Blocker” (http://webgraph.com/resources/facebookblocker/).
Legal basis
The use of the above-mentioned social media plugins is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in being as present as possible on social media, providing interesting information to our customers, and expanding our circle of potential new customers. You can object to this data processing at any time if there are reasons arising from your particular situation that speak against data processing. Simply send an email to info@muli-cycles.de.
Storage duration
The data collected via Facebook Social Plugins is processed and stored by Meta according to its own privacy policies. We have no influence on the exact duration of storage.
More information on data processing and storage duration by Meta can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy at: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php
b. Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel)
We use the Meta Pixel on this website from Meta. The Meta Pixel is provided to us by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).
The Meta Pixel is an embedded code on this website that allows us to analyze the behavior of visitors who came to this website via a Facebook advertisement. This can be used to improve Facebook ads, and the data is collected and stored by Facebook. The collected data is not accessible to us but is only usable within advertising campaigns. The use of the Facebook Pixel code also sets cookies. During your website visit, the following data is transmitted to Meta, among others:
Pages/URLs visited
Orders including revenue and ordered products
Achievement of “website goals” (e.g., contact requests and newsletter sign-ups)
Your internet connection data (IP address)
Technical information such as browser, device, and screen resolution
A randomly generated user ID
A randomly generated ad click ID if you came to our website via an ad
Using the Meta Pixel informs Meta about the visit so that visitors can see relevant ads on Facebook. If you have a Meta account and are logged in, the visit is assigned to your Facebook user account. More about how the Meta Pixel is used for advertising campaigns can be found at https://www.facebook.com/business/learn/facebook-ads-pixel.
You can change your ad preferences on Meta at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen if you are logged into Facebook. On http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/ you can manage your preferences regarding behavioral advertising.
More information about Facebook’s data policy can be found at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
Personal data may also be transferred to the parent company Meta Platforms Inc., which is based in the USA. There is an adequacy decision for data transfers to the USA. Meta Platforms Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Legal basis
The legal basis is your valid consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a), Art. 7 GDPR and § 25 TTDSG. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. Use the privacy settings to do so.
Storage duration
The data collected via the Meta Pixel is stored for up to 180 days. After this period, the data is automatically deleted unless it is re-collected for remarketing purposes or linked to existing user profiles at Meta.
The storage duration in the Facebook advertising account is not directly controllable by us and depends on Meta’s processing purposes. More information is available in Meta’s privacy policies: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
c. Web Analytics Service Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies.”
Cookies are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website (including your IP address). The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We use the stored information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activities for website operators, and provide other services related to website usage.
Your IP address is anonymized by Google. An IP address is the address of the user on the Internet. It is assigned only once and can potentially be uniquely linked to a specific computer used by a specific or identifiable user. IP anonymization ensures that your IP address is shortened and thus distorted to make it harder to trace back to you. Usually, Google shortens your IP address within the EU or EEA; only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to the USA and shortened there. Google is certified under: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active
The IP address transmitted by your browser within Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings; however, this may mean you cannot use all features of this website fully. You can also prevent data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being collected and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
More information about privacy can be found at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de
Legal basis
The legal basis is your valid consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a), Art. 7 GDPR and § 25 TTDSG. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. Use the privacy settings to do so.
Storage duration
The data collected by Google Analytics is stored for 14 months. After this period, the data is automatically deleted.
The storage duration may vary depending on individual settings in the Google Analytics account. More information on data retention by Google can be found at: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de
d. Google Tag Manager
We use the Google Tag Manager of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) for our website.
The Google Tag Manager is a marketing product and organization tool from Google that allows us to integrate and manage website tags centrally through a user interface.
Tags are small code snippets that, for example, record your activities on our website (tracking). JavaScript code snippets are inserted into the source code of our site. The tags often come from Google’s internal products such as Google Ads or Google Analytics, but tags from other companies can also be integrated and managed via the manager. These tags perform different tasks. They can collect browser data, feed marketing tools with data, embed buttons, set cookies, and track users across multiple websites. All included “tags” (e.g., Google Analytics) are explicitly listed in this privacy policy. No additional data processing not already explained in this privacy policy takes place via the Tag Manager.
The Tag Manager itself is a domain that does not set cookies or store data. It acts as a mere “manager” of the implemented tags. The data is collected by the individual tags of the different web analytics tools. The data is passed through the Google Tag Manager to the individual tracking tools and not stored.
We use the Google Tag Manager to organize and maintain our website. To make our website as good as possible for you and all people interested in our products and services, we need various tracking tools like Google Analytics.
The Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies but manages tags from various tracking websites. Detailed information on how to delete or manage your data can be found in the privacy statements of the individual tracking tools.
Google is an active participant in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, which regulates the correct and secure transfer of personal data. More information can be found at https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&tid=311141511. If you want to learn more about Google Tag Manager, we recommend the FAQs at https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/faq.html.
Legal basis
The legal basis is your valid consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a), Art. 7 GDPR and § 25 TTDSG. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. Use the privacy settings to do so.
Storage duration
No personal data is stored by us in connection with the use of Google Tag Manager.
e. Matomo
This website uses functions of the web analytics service Matomo (formerly “PIWIK”), an open-source tool for analyzing user purchasing behavior. Matomo is a service of the provider InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand.
The result of data processing by Matomo is a statistic that does not contain any personal reference. The statistic is generated based on the following data:
The IP address of the user (anonymized)
The website visited (date and time of the visit)
The website from which the user came to our website
Device data (which browser, operating system, etc.)
The duration of the stay on the website
The frequency of website visits
The transmission of your information to New Zealand is covered by an adequacy decision of the EU Commission pursuant to Article 45 GDPR. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Matomo according to Art. 28 GDPR.
More information can be found in the privacy policy at https://matomo.org/privacy-policy/
Legal basis
We only use Matomo if you have consented to it via our Consent Management Platform. This is consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 TTDSG. Under these regulations, data processing is only permitted if you have given consent for data processing for one or more specific purposes. You can revoke this at any time with effect for the future.
Storage duration
Any collected personal data is deleted or fully anonymized as soon as it is transferred into a statistic.
6. Data Processing at Trade Fairs
At trade shows, we use the tool “Microsoft Forms,” a service provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited. When using Microsoft Forms, personal data such as your first and last name, place of residence, and email address are processed. We use Microsoft Forms to collect data related to test rides at our booth, in order to track who has booked a test ride and (with your consent) to contact potential customers afterward.
Microsoft is an active participant in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, which ensures the proper and secure transfer of personal data. More information can be found at https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/
If you require information about how Microsoft processes your data, please refer to their privacy statement at: https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement
Legal Basis
The use of the above-mentioned data via Microsoft Forms is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in being able to track who has used our bikes (e.g., in case of damages) and to expand our circle of potential new customers. You may object to this data processing at any time if there are specific reasons in your particular situation that argue against the data processing. Simply send an email to info@muli-cycles.de.
We will only contact you if you have given your consent via our Microsoft Forms. This consent constitutes a legal basis according to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25 TTDSG. Under these regulations, data processing is only permitted if you have given consent for one or more specific purposes. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect by sending an email to info@muli-cycles.de.
Data Retention
Any personal data collected will be deleted 365 days after the trade show unless you have given us consent to contact you or to send you our newsletter at a later date.
